A month ago I set a goal to quilt two tops a week till months end. I'm happy to report I am on track. Even better I think but I'm not counting.
These first 8 were taken into the ladies to bind and distribute. The top photo shows some my daughter pieced. I don't mind binding but they enjoy it so it started as a swap. I'll quilt their big ones and they can bind mine. Or was it that I'd cut the kits? Whatever?
The bottom 4 were mine. I guess I didn't get a photo of Lois's. A better shot of these individually are in previous posts as the tops were completed.
These two were done this week. I also did the sunflower quilt that used a single yellow dresden plate. I have another waiting to quilt after my next cup of coffee.
These are all small lap/ wheelchair size and quilted with a quick lazy meander. I am finding I don't want to be distracted with piecing or kitting for the quilting Bee at the community center. This is a plus. Hopefully I will exceed that goal on average though as I finish those on top they are getting bigger and will take longer. And probably get bored with the lazy meander.
I have no real plans to do any piecing except to finish up a few ufos here, some if which are Lisa's. And those I'll plan to do at her house. Otherwise I'm just stitching up the few seams a back requires. I'm not even making the binding. Some of that can come from stash at the community center.
I am already looking forward to January and seeing the space in my closet and new starts. This is good. Sweet dreams actually.
I've joined the linky party at
Alycia quilts but darned if I remember how to link to hers from here. I'll try.
