Retreat report

Happy Halloween. Dd surprised me with this pumpkin walhanging she made. She knows I love pumpkins. Pretty cute. 

I don't have photos to share yet from retreat but thought I'd tell you how it went. It's a 4 hour trip. The trees were a bit past peak. Southern Wisconsin never is as pretty as the north. But I took mostly 2 lane highways with minimal traffic and a better view. 

I need to remember packing 5 kits is not enough for 3 full days of sewing. Only because the first kit was incomplete and the second bag  had pieces  I cut wrong.  I ran out of sewing about 8 pm Sat. Night. No complaints though really that just left time for visiting and relaxing. Perfect. Still pleased with all I got done. Dd is clamoring to go next time.

Hour Glass Mystery 1

 I'm sure I put all these together over a month ago. I thought of writing but I didn't think I had anything to share. Silly girl. There was no plan when I started it except to use up the leftover donated qst's. Number 2 is over at dd's house. Haven't been there much.

I have not been quilting in the last month because I twisted my knee.  Well that's not the whole truth. Also I loaded dd's quilt top and I didn't like how she wanted it quilted. It sat.  Then this morning up early I thought 'too bad'. And quickly got it done with a fast lazy meander. She's donating it anyway. Just in time for show and tell at club tomorrow. 

I've also been busy cutting both for club and for the retreat I'm heading to Thursday in the Northwoods.  I'm very excited. Not sure just what I'm taking but there is plenty to choose from. Like this hollow star. Cut out in autumn colors.
